Dr. Buhay is a Metro-Detroit native and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, MI. He furthered his education at Oakland University in Rochester, MI and later returned to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018.

Dr. Buhay likes to stay active in the community.  On his free time he volunteers at the Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic in Pontiac, MI where he helps provide dental care to the underserved population.  He has served as an adjunct faculty member for both the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and University of Michigan School of Dentistry.  In that position he has helped dental students hone their clinical skills in preparation for real-world dentistry prior to graduating.

When he’s not at the office, Dr. Buhay enjoys spending his free time biking, kayaking, and working on cars.

Dr. Buhay focuses on making sure his patients not only understand their treatment needs, but also are comfortable and satisfied with each and every visit.

Dr. John Pappas was born and raised in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. After graduating from Cass Technical High School, he continued his academic career at the University of Detroit.  He completed his postgraduate education at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1995.  

In 1987, Dr. Pappas and classmate Dr. James Caris opened Farmbrook Family Dentistry in Sterling Heights, MI with the focus of “Quality” dental care with an emphasis on patient comfort.

Dr. Pappas is married to Penny Pappas and they have a beautiful daughter, Dena. He is an active member of St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church currently holding the position of Councilman.  In addition to spending time with his family, Dr. Pappas is an accomplished musician and plays numerous musical instruments.  This hobby has allowed him to keep “in tune” with the artistic side of dentistry, a quality he is very proud of. Dr. Pappas is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association and the Macomb Dental Association.
